Question:

I have a new Equal-i-zer hitch that is 1,000 TW rated and I may need to up-grade to 1,200 or even 1,400 tw rated spring bars. My question is : can I upgrade to the stronger rated bars without replacing the head? are they the same size as my 1,000 lb tw bars?

If you have the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System - 10,000 lbs GTW, 1,000 lbs TW # EQ37100ET you do need to add both the spring bars and head unit in order to increase the capacity of your system.

So to upgrade to 1,200 lbs you would need to add both the Replacement Spring Bars for Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems - Qty 2 - 1,200 lbs TW # EQ90-01-1299 and Replacement Head for Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems - 1,200 lbs TW # EQ90-02-1200.

To upgrade to a 1,400 system you would need the Replacement Spring Bars for Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems - Qty 2 - 1,400 lbs TW # EQ90-01-1499 and Replacement Head for Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems - 1,400 lbs TW # EQ90-02-1400.
