Will Draw-Tite Class II Trailer Hitch Disable Hands-Free Liftgate on 2019 Toyota RAV4

Question:

I have a 2019 Toyota RAV4 Limited Hybrid with the foot operated liftgate FOL. I saw in the FAQs that the Draw-Tite 76134 did not disable the FOL. Does this also apply to the 36675? I need a 100 answer because I dont want to loose the FOL functionality. As an aside, do you know if U-haul will install this hitch if I purchase it from U-Trailer?

The Draw-Tite Class II Trailer Hitch Receiver # 36675 that you referenced will not disable the hands-free liftgate feature on your 2019 Toyota RAV4. With the hitch installed you may just need to move your foot to either side of the receiver for the sensors to pick up your movement but it's still going to work great.

I can't speak for U-Haul in particular but any local mechanic or shop will certainly be able to handle this install without issue. This is a custom-fit hitch which means it's going to line right up to existing holes in the RAV4's frame for a simple bolt-on (no-drill) installation. I have attached the written instructions that you can use for reference as well.
