Can these racks be used for solar panels?

Rack'em Fitz-All Enclosed Trailer Ladder Rack # RA-28 has a 400-lb weight rating so it will absolutely have plenty of capacity to support solar panels.

Aluminum construction and stainless steel fasteners (included) mean a corrosion-free setup for solar panels like the Go Power Retreat # 34272635 which uses a panel that measures about 47 x 22-inches and that weighs less than 18-lbs. With this Solar kit you can easily add a second panel with Expansion kit # 34282182.

Since solar panels deliver their highest output at midday when directly facing the sun if you wanted to maximize your energy gathering you might want to add a way to change the angle of the panels. I don't know the type of setup you have or are planning but for a stationary installation a trailer part like CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket # CE10000G-4 could give you the ability to tilt the panels to best track the sun's path. These may require some creative fabrication but they are strong galvanized steel that will last.
