Question:
I purchased the ride rite system from e trailer and finally had time to get it installed. It is pretty obvious that the truck isn’t sitting level side to side. It’s approximately 2” higher on the left side compared to the right side as viewed from the rear of the vehicle. I have the compressor, holding tank and the automatic leveler. The airline goes from the compressor to the holding tank to the automatic leveler. It comes out of the automatic leveler and goes to the middle of the truck where it enters a T, it then goes to the left air bag and right air bag. I have another T off the right air line which goes to the rear of the vehicle and is terminated at that point. The automatic leveler is located on the rear axle on the left side of the vehicle. Suggestions on making it sit level??

Expert Reply:
The Firestone Automatic Single-Gauge Pneumatic Height-Control Valve kit # F2186-2047 that you had installed along with the air bag kit # F2525 controls air bag pressure for both springs equally so the issue with your uneven height from side to side is likely to be with a leak from the extra T that is on the right side air line. I am not sure why this was installed but odds are that there is a leak there that is preventing full and equal pressure from reaching the right air bag. This would explain the height difference and the leveler would not be able to offset this since it controls both bags at the same time/pressure.
