Solution for Wiring in 7-Way to Vehicle Wiring and Trailer Lighting Functions Stop Working

Question:

We recently replaced our 2002 Xterra with a 2018 Pathfinder. The hookup for our popup camper for the Xterra was a 4 Flat, the Pathfinder has a 7 Blade. We purchased the Epicord 7-Way Molded Trailer Plug 8foot long to rewire the hookup. We first connected all the like colored wires which gave us all the lights on the camper except the right brake and right blinker. When we rewire to connect according to your diagram, red to yellow, green to brown and brown to green, we lose all the lights except the right rear camper light. Please help!

Since not all trailer wiring colors match your best option is going to be to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to identify all of the functions of the wiring on your vehicle and then using the attached diagram wire it up accordingly.

I attached a video that shows how to test the wires as well.
