Question:

I have a newer XLR Thunderbolt with the Roto Flex pin box. I have a gooseneck setup in my truck. Can I use an adapter with the Roto Flex kingpin or would I need to by a fifth wheel hitch?

The Trailair Rota-Flex 5th Wheel Pin Box like # LC328330 on your trailer is not compatible with any type of gooseneck adapter because of the extra movement that would be present at the connection point. To use with the existing pin box on your new trailer you will need to mount a 5th wheel hitch on the truck.

If you happen to have a B&W Turnoverball gooseneck hitch on your Silverado then a great option is the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVK3500-5W if you have a long bed or the sliding version # BWRVK3400-5W if you have a short bed.
