Question:
I have an Atv trailer with 4 bolt rims, 3.75 in wide rims and 8 in. Want to put on Carlisle 8 ply load D trailer tires, load 1070 lbs at 100 psi have had good luck with these before and more durable than Load B or C. Your 4 bolt rims come in 3.5 or 3.75 withs. The 3.5 has higher load and psi capacity. Can I use the 3.5 in wide rim with the higher capacity? Want to haul my ATV at 60 mph.

Expert Reply:
The Steel Trailer Wheel # AM20001 that you referenced has a weight capacity of 910 lbs and would only be limited by the valve stem for PSI. You can use the tire you mentioned on this rim but you'd be limited to 910 lbs capacity.
For a valve stem to use with this wheel that is rated for up to 200 psi you'd want the part # AM20906.
