Question:

What size bolts and thread fit the Honda Odyssey 2012 for a Curt hitch install? The bolts that came with ours were too big. Thank you

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C12031 for 1999 thru 2017 Honda Odyssey models use M12-1.25 x 35mm bolts with 1/2 inch conical toothed washer for the weldnuts in the frame. It also will use one 7/16-14 x 1-1/2 inch carriage bolt with a square hole spacer and a 7/16-14 flange nut. I've attached the installation instructions to assist further.

If you want the exact hardware and fish wire you can use kit # RHK. You may also want the nylon tube brush # 814092 and some spray lubricant to clean out the weld nuts in the frame that can have debris causing hardware not to fit. This is a really good idea to avoid cross-threading your frame weldnuts.
