Question:

I have a 2003 GMC Sierra 2500 HD standard bed pickup with a Four Wheel popup camper installed. I have two 17 foot long sea kayaks I would carry on the roof of the camper with the roof down . The camper has a Yakima rail system with round crossbars. The height from the top of the bar to the ground is 8 feet. With the Malone Downloaders and the Telos XL do you think it could work for that situation?

Once you mount the Malone Downloader Kayak carrier # MPG114MD on your camper's Yakima roof rack bars the connection slot that mates with the tab on the Telos Load Assist # MPG351XL will be approximately 4-inches above the top of the crossbars. I'm afraid this puts it just out of reach of the full extended length of the Telos, which is 98-1/4-inches. If you didn't mind using some blocks to raise the bottom of the Telos you could do so with an item like # A10-0916 or something similar.
