Question:
Im looking at buying your 36inch 2inch curt combo bar and was wondering what the OD of it is? I want to build my own hitch extension and want it to slide into my chev 3500 2 1/2inch hitch. Like the curt 24inch to 34inch extension

I went out to the warehouse and found that the outer diameter of the Curt Combo Bar # C49360 measures 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" so technically it should fit your 2-1/2" receiver. However, this part was designed to be welded and act as a hitch receiver so instead you will want to use the Curt Hitch Extension and Reducer # C45048 which gives you up to a 34" extension and was designed to be used this way.
