Question:
2017 Tiffin Allegro Motorhome flat towing a 2014 Honda CRV. Should the signal booster be in the RV or in the Towed Vehicle? Also, Ill be towing a motorcycle trailer alternately with the Honda CRV. Can there be multiple configurations programed to switch between towing the CRV and towing the trailer I would plan to have dedicated sensors for the CRV and additional dedicated sensors on the trailer? Programming seems a bit tedious and not something to be done frequently. Also, does the weight of the sensor cause any problems with the valve stem. Ive heard of issues on motorhome rear duals with valve stem extensions having issues even without sensors.

I reached out to my contact at TST regarding their TPMS systems for your particular application. First he said for your setup it will be best to mount the signal booster in the RV towards the back of the coach.
He recommends going with the Color Display TPMS # TST-507-FT-6-C because it will allow for an easier setup to program it for both your Honda CRV and trailer. He said this can absolutely be done and after the initial programming it's just a matter of pushing a couple buttons when switching between the towed vehicle and trailer.
For the CRV he recommends using cap sensors like the Brass # TST-507-RV-S4 instead of the flow-through sensors that come with the kit. The flow-through sensors will work great on the RV but are designed to work with steel valve stems that the CRV wouldn't be equipped with.
With regards to their weight he said they are extremely light and he's not heard of any issues due to them being attached to valve extensions or having to re-balance the tires because of their installation.
