For a 6500-lb boat I recommend one of our highest weight capacity transom tie-down strap items. These 833-lb-WLL straps such as 6-foot # IMF14208 appear on the linked page and we have lengths of 24, 43, 48 and 72-inches. You can select the length you prefer based on the preferred tie-down point on your specific trailer. All have a rated break strength of 2500-lbs each.
