Question:
I am looking to install this on the front of my pontoon boat, is the component box water right? Do you think this would be effective submerged in water?

The Lippert Electric Tread Lite Step # LC353621 was not intended for boat trailer applications where it would get submerged. None of our powered options were designed for that. You'd have to go with a manual pull out step like the Hickory Springs steps part # 952240RXWAC1.
