Can Handle of Valterra Waste Valve be Removed and Extended

Can the handle be removered on the T1003VP in order Toto extend the the rod. If the handle does unscrew, how can I prevent the shaft from getting damaged. If the shaft is knuled will the product function properly or is there a seal on the shaft?

Yes, the handle of the Valterra waste valve, part # T1003VP, does unscrew so it can be replaced or extended. We have several different lengths of extended rods that fit:
8 inches, # TX8HPB
9 inches, # TX9HPB
24 inches, # TX24HPB
32 inches, # TX32HPB
36 inches, # TX36HPB
We also have a kit, part # T1046-12VP, that includes 2 adjustable rods so you can extend the handles between 6-8 inches with one or 9-11 inches with the other.
You could also use a new valve that has an extension cable, like part # TC372, if that's what you prefer.
