Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra Waste Valve Extension Tube with the Included Handle. This extension handle threads onto a valve shaft to make the handle location more accessible. The tube is made from an aluminum construction. The tube itself measures 32 inches long. Then you're going to have about 2 more inches of adjustment here at the threaded stud, located right here at the handle. That functions as a jam nut. You can set that out about an additional 2 inches, up to 2 inches, to get some further adjustment for your application if needed. Again, the t-handle is included.
That's a nice durable black plastic construction. It makes the unit very easy to use. That's going to do it for today's look at the Valterra Waste Valve Extension Tube with the Included Handle.

Fortunately, I did not need it right away. Customer service at eTrailer kept me well informed. When I did receive, the box was slightly short so the rod had to be bent so fit. When I received it noticed a small curvature to it. At first I didn't think it would be a problem. My gate valve actually had a female fitting but the end of the rod was also female. I knew this up front so I took a bolt with the right thread pitch and cut the end off to create a union. Mating the rod with the valve became problematic now. The guide on the RV frame is not in perfect alignment with the valve and the curvature of the rod made joining difficult as I did not want to cross thread the valve fitting nor on the rod end. I pulled the rod back out and then gently straightened it on a table and reinserted. After a few minutes I was able to get the pieces successfully threaded (this was all done in tight quarters underneath the RV making it another challenge). The rod seems to work fine and was the proper replacement length.
I was in a pickle with a broken waste rod and you guys had the exact part that I need it. It even showed up Unbroken in shipping. Very very happy and I have since sold that trailer but have another one to Break Stuff on.
Arrived sooner than expected. Was an easy screw off old, and screw on new. Used a little purple lock tight to keep from vibrating off.
Delivery was super-fast, well packed, and items were in excellant condition when received. I have not installed the parts to date thus I can't speak to fit, but, suspect that is not an issue.
Better than the original.

Fits like a charm. On-Line ordering etc. was easy breezy. Wish dealing with a bent black tank dump rod was just as easy as getting a new part!

I just installed it and it appears to be adequate to replace the original rod. We will need to see how it holds up during road trips.

An update. The rod has worked well with no problems and would get it again except use a longer shipping box to keep the rod straight.
