What does L 4 and L5 error codes mean? The trailer is connected.

The L.4 and L.5 you are seeing aren't actually error codes with the Curt TriFlex Trailer Brake Controller # C24VV. Those are settings from the controller's sensitivity control, which will range from L.1 to L.9 and control the braking power you get with the controller.
