Question:
Hi, I have a 2011 Honda pilot and will be transporting a 13.5 tandem and two 8foot singles. I was checking out the Thule Stacker but I do not currently have crossbars. Does the stacker come with these or Do you know of any racks that will accommodate 3 kayaks and come with these? Or just buy separate?

Kayak carriers are generally sold separately from roof racks and we can help you with a roof rack to enable use of the Thule Stacker # TH830 multi-kayak carrier.
Your 2011 Pilot could come with either raised front-to-back roof rails or a totally bare roof. If you have the factory-installed raised rails I recommend the Thule Evo Raised Rail Wingbar rack, parts # TH711520 and # TH710401, because their 60-inch aero bars will give you plenty of space for the 3 kayaks and also a wide bar spacing of 38-inches which is helpful for kayak stability.
If you have a totally bare roof then instead use the smiilar Evo rack, parts # TH711520, # TH710501 and # TH145191, which will give you the same 60-inch bar space.
The Stacker is a good choice because it not only holds multiple kayaks but it is very lightweight at only 7-lbs. This means it does not use up much of your roof's weight capacity. Its a perfect choice for your two 8-footers. You'll also need an additional tie-down kit # Y04031.
Since the Stacker is limited to boats 10-feet long and under, for the 13-1/2-foot tandem kayak you'll need a different carrier. I recommend Yakima JayLow # Y04073 J-style carrier.
If you are looking for a more budget-minded solution then foam block carriers like # MPG152 or one of the others shown on the linked page may better suit you. These do not require a roof rack and they too are very light in weight which may matter if the total weight of the three boats is close to the limit for the roof.
