Yes, you can listen to music from your phone while using the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller # C51180.

The app for the Curt Echo functions just like any other app on your phone so you can switch between apps while using your phone. Just be sure you don't close the Curt Echo app so that you can switch right back over and retain the ability to apply the manual override if need be. If you happen to lose connection between your phone and the controller though the Echo is built to still function normally you just lose the ability to activate the manual override or adjust the braking power.

As always, please refrain from messing with your phone during travel, especially when towing a trailer.
