My rv can tow 5000 lbs. Can I flat tow a Trailhawk?

According to my research a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk has a 4,250 lbs curb weight (when the Jeep is empty). This means that as long as you don't have much equipment in your Jeep you can flat tow it safely with your 5,000 lb RV weight rating.
I recommend using a Demco tow bar and base plate kit because all of their tow bars are non-binding and can be used with different adapters for different base plate kits which means it should be the last tow bar you purchase. We actually had the chance to install the Tabless Base Plate Kit # DM9519340 and the Dominator Tow Bar # DM9511008 on a similar 2019 Cherokee which is exactly what I recommend you go with.
Then for wiring I like the Demco Tow Bar Combo Kit # DM9523057 because of how easy it is to use after the initial install and that it comes with locks and a storage bag to help keep your tow bar safe from the elements anyone looking to quickly swipe a tow bar.
For a supplemental braking system I recommend installing one of the SMI fixed systems because after they are installed you just have to make the breakaway connection and flip a switch on the braking unit. If your motorhome has hydraulic brakes then you need part # SM99251 but if if has air brakes then you need part # SM99243.
The Dominator tow bar does have some flexibility in how it can be oriented to reduce the need for a high-low adapter but you may still need one for your application. I have attached a link to our selection of adapters and a helpful article to help you determine if you need one or not.
I have also linked all of the videos we shot of the 2019 Cherokee that I mentioned above. Please be sure to consult your owner's manual for any specifics for flat towing. It is also worth noting that your Cherokee may use Mortorq® fasteners. If this is the case then you need the PFMTS2E bit to remove them which can be ordered through a Snap-On dealer.
