How to make the coupler fit the 2 hoses, heat? How would we do that?

As long as the RV sewer hoses are 3 inch in diameter without a bayonet fitting like Camco part # CAM39611 the hoses will slide over each end of the coupler part # CAM39203 to join them together. You do not need to heat the coupler up to seal the connection.
