Retractable Tonneau Cover and Crossbar Recommendation for 2017 Ram 3500 Long Bed

Hello, Will the Yakima OutPost HD Mid Height truck rack install on the Pace Edwards UltraGroove Retractable cover? I know it will work on the Retrax XR covers with the adaptor kit. But it is my understanding that the Retrax XR cover is not available for my truck with an 8foot bed. And I dont believe the adaptor kit will work on the Ultrgroove as the rail edge is wained and probably to wide for the kit to work. This is the set up I am going for - A retractable cover with mid-height 10inch to 15 rack that will install in a T-slot bed rail so I can adjust the position of the racks on the rail. I wish to carry 2 Kayaks above a retractable cover that will allow easy access to the truck bed when kayaks are on the rack. After hours of research Im not having very much success. But I will say that your site has been very helpful in clearing the air. Thank you for your time.

Then all you'd need is the Yakima OutPost HD Mid-Height Truck Rack w/ Retrax XR Tonneau Cover Adapter # Y01152-5855 and you'd have the exact setup you are looking for. A retractable tonneau cover that fits your truck and a mid-height crossbar system that fits with it!

How high and deep is the canister on this cover? Also, how much clearance do I need between my 5th wheel hitch and the cover?
