Question:
Looking to pull my utility trailer and add a winch to the top part of the dual receiver. Does this make sense? On a 2005 Jeep Liberty Renegade V-6.

To tow a utility trailer and add a winch to a receiver you can use the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount with 2" Receiver # D210.
For a hitch ball with the Multipurpose Ball Mount # D210 you can use 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # 19260 or 2" Hitch Ball # 63845 depending on the size of your trailer's coupler.
A great option for a winch that will fit in the receiver is the ComeUp Cub ATV Winch w/ Mounting Plate for 2" Hitches # CU123933 because it has a mounting plate that will slide directly into the receiver of the ball mount and the winch bolts to the mounting plate with included hardware. This winch even comes with a pin and clip to secure the mounting plate to the receiver.
The ComeUp Cub ATV Winch has a 4,000 lb static pull rating and is easy to use with its accompanying wired remote. There is even the option of adding the ComeUp Wireless Remote Control # CU881286 for expanded distances; the wired remote has a 9' lead while the wireless remote can be used 90' away.
I have added links to video reviews of the Ball Mount and Winch for you to take a look at.
