Will Trailair Rota-Flex Keep Fifth Wheel at Same Height When Replacing Lippert 1621 Pin Box

Question:

Ive got the standard Lippert 1621 pin box. How does the offer all height of the Rota-flex compare? In other words if I mount the Rota-flex at the same height position on my fifth wheel as the existing 1621 and keep my fifth wheel hitch the same, will it result the fifth wheel being the same height, lower height, or taller? In other words, if you lived up both the 1621 and Rota-flex side by side looking at the side profile, would one appear longer or shorter height wise than the other?

I reached out to the manufacturer and got the specs for both the Lippert 1621 5th Wheel Pin Box # LC1191191 and the Trailair Rota-Flex # LC328330 which it is designed to replace.

These pin boxes have very similar dimensions, though the the Rota-Flex is about an inch lower overall. This small difference should allow you to keep your trailer level, though you may need to slightly adjust the height of your truck's fifth wheel hitch.

The Trailair Rota-Flex # LC328330 will be an upgrade from a standard Lippert 1621, giving you a much more comfortable towing experience because of its cushioned and pivoting head. I have added a link to a video review of this pin box for you to take a look at.
