What Does Blue Light of Curt Echo Brake Controller # C51180 Indicate

Question:
My echo light is staying on a little after releasing break pedal in vehicle. I recently had wiring serviced to meet state inspection requirements and safety. Why would blue light stay on thus keeping my breaks on while moving?

The blue light on the LED indicator of the Curt Echo Brake Controller part # C51180 that you referenced indicates that the controller is paired to a phone but a trailer is not connected. See attached picture that shows what all of the colors indicate.
If the blue you are seeing is on the phone display you have and the brakes are staying on when the brake pedal is released that would indicate that the controller is for some reason seeing the brake lights of your tow vehicle apply. Since something was rewired I'd imagine you may have a short somewhere in what was messed with. Do you know what circuits were changed or rewired?
