Question:
What is the difference between the maxair 2 and the maxair fan mate. I need 3 covers for my new Cougar fifth wheel and want to get the right ones. We have two manual vents and 1 that is controlled by incommand on our rv. They are all the same size on top. yes i climbed up their and checked in 30mph wind. lol

Aside from the MaxxAir II having inside dimensions of 21-1/2" long x 18-1/2" wide x 6" tall and the FanMate having inside dimensions of 26-1/2" long x 16-3/4" wide x 9-1/2" tall, the MaxxAir II comes with a bug screen but only 2 of the 4 mounting points use clips that can easily be removed. The FanMate doesn't come with a bug screen (but one can be added with part # MA00-955202 Black or # MA00-955203 Smoke) and it comes with 4 easily removable clips. I have attached video reviews for both options.
These covers come in a few different colors:
MaxxAir II
White - # MA00-933072
Black - # MA00-933075
Smoke - # MA00-955003
FanMate
White - # MA00-955001
Black - # MA00-955002
Smoke - # MA00-955003
If you plan on never removing your vent covers then I recommend going with the MaxxAir II as it will stay on those hinges and it comes with a bug screen but if you plan on removing your vent covers fairly often or you like the additional internal height at 9-1/2" then the FanMate is the better choice, especially since a bug screen can be added.
