Tow plate and diode kit needed I have a DEMCO Excalibar tow bar and just purchased a 2007 vw beetle to tow behind my coach. What tow plate is needed and electrical connection for lights do you recomend

If your 2007 VW Beetle is a manual transmission it can be towed with your Demco Excalibar tow bar and the base plates # DM9518071. It is not recommended to tow above 65 mph. For your electrical connection I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 and then the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # SM99251 for the supplemental braking system required in almost all states. I've attached an article to help.

If your 2007 VW Beetle is an automatic transmission then it needs to be towed with a tow dolly like the Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes - 4,250 lbs # RM-2050-1 which requires a plug like # PK12706 and a brake controller in your coach. Alternatively you can use the hydraulic surge disc brake Demco Kar Kaddy SS # DM9713045 which has a foldable tongue to reduce storage space and requires only a 4-way connection to your coach because of the integrated hydraulic surge brake coupler.
