Compatibility of 17.5 Rims and Tires To Replace 16 Inch Trailer Wheels

Looks like I could save some money by putting 5/8 studs in my hubs. Got em?

The Westlake 215/75R17.5 Radial Tire w 17-1/2" Lynx Aluminum Wheel # LHAS701 are intended for wheel bolt size 9/16-18 with an 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern. These wheels with that bolt pattern and wheel bolt size are rated for 4,805 lbs at 123 psi. The 5/8 inch bolts you are referring to are a stronger bolt, but will not work with these wheels based on the wheel design. That change is not required based on the wheel design or weight.

If you want the 5/8 inch wheel bolts, then I recommend the Provider 215/75R17.5 Radial Tire w/ 17-1/2" Silver Mod Wheel # TA95ZR which has exactly the same ratings for load range and speed but will allow for the larger flange nut of 5/8-18.

We have the following options: Kodiak Wheel Bolt - 5/8" Diameter x 3-1/8" Long # K58WB316 Replacement Trailer Hub Wheel Stud, Drive-In, 5/8" x 3-1/8" (Qty 4) # RG03-120 Replacement Trailer Hub Wheel Stud, Drive-In, 5/8" x 2-13/16" (Qty 4) # RG03-140 You want to make sure the diameter of the spline is a good fit for your hubs and also has the length you desire.
