Best Trunk Mount Bike Rack for a 2018 Audi Q5

I would prefer a trunk mount bike rack for 2 bikes. I am concerned about the top straps that would have to be placed over the back of the spoiler. Will the spoiler be able to support this weight. Can you please advise.

For your 2018 Audi Q5, I recommend using the Yakima FullBack 2 Bike Rack part # Y02634. The upper straps you are referring to will not place much downward pressure if any at all on the spoiler. They are able to do this by the angle at which the rear support arm sits on the vehicle. Please note that the upper straps will need to be placed in anchor mode while installed on your vehicle which can be seen on page four of the installation instructions.
The FullBack is a very well made bike rack that has anti-sway cradles to prevent the bikes from coming into contact with the vehicle, foam pads on the support arms to make sure they do not damage the vehicles finish, and retractable cable locks to secure your bikes. The only downside of this bike rack or most trunk mount bike racks for that matter is that they will require an adapter bar part # Y02531 if you have any alternative frame bikes.
I have attached a photo of the FullBack installed on a Q5 so you can see how the upper straps attach.

You indicate that this rack (yo2634) will fit on an Audi Q5-2018, however the top hooks do not fit in between the trunk and the car rim. Is there another way to anchor the top hooks? Please send video and more detailed instructions. I do not want to buy a new bike rack and I can’t get anyone to show me because of COVID! Thanks.
