I purchased the Roadmaster Nighthawk tow bar and Roadmaster Ez Base Plate Kit 521433-1 which requires a crossbar Do I have any other options as far as base plates that do not require a crossbar

For your 2011 Jeep Liberty there are only base plate kits from Roadmaster that require the use of a crossbar like the EZ Kit part # 521433-1 which you have currently. Some vehicles with heavier duty frames allow the use of the direct connect style base plates but this isn't available for every vehicle. Since the Roadmaster Nighthawk part # RM-676 does not come with the crossbar you need you'll need the crossbar kit part # 910021-00 as well.
