Would this make trailer sit a bit higher over axles? I’m a bit nose high!

I do have a way for you to bring down the nose on your trailer but the the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers part # RM-2460 will not change the height of your trailer whatsoever. They will simply bolt onto the leaf springs/frame rails with the included brackets and then help to absorb road shock better.

In order to bring the noise down on what I assume is a 5th wheel trailer you have a few option. The first option you have is to lower the height of the 5th wheel hitch. The majority of 5th wheel hitches have multiple different height settings. The second option you have would be to use different mounting holes on the wing set. However, this is not always applicable and you will be limited to how much you can adjust each as the distance between the top of the bed side and bottom of the loft on your trailer needs to be between 4-6" for proper clearance.

If the above two options will not work for you then your only other option would be to raise the rear of the trailer. In order to do this you can A) flip the axles, B) install taller leaf spring hangers, or C) install larger wheels/tires.

The easiest option will be to install new wheels/tires but this option will also provide the least amount of height. If you can tell me know much additional height you need to raise the trailer so that the front and rear are level and you can provide me with the size of tires/load range that you have now, I would be happy to provide options. I have attached a list of our wheel/tire combos for you as well.

The next best option for you would be to install an axle flip kit but this will only work for you if you have leaf spring axles and the leaf springs are below the axle tube. If they are then you can use the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit part # K71-384-00 for 2-3/8" diameter axles or part # K71-385-00 for 3" diameter axles. These kits will raise the trailer equal to the height of the leaf spring stack, height of the leaf spring seat, and height of the axle tube.

The final option you have would be to install taller leaf spring hangers. This option will be the most cost effective but it will also require the most work as you will have to cut off the existing hangers and weld new ones on. If you can provide me with the dimensions of your leaf spring hangers and again how much you need to raise the rear to level it to the front I can then provide you with options but if not I have attached a list of leaf spring hangers for you.
