Trailer Hitch fit for 2016 Infiniti QX50

Question:

How much does this hitch weigh? Also, I installed this hitch on a different car once a few years ago...a 2014 Infiniti QX50 and it would hit my muffler and rattle. Has anyone else had this problem? I now have a 2016 QX50 and I am interested in installing this hitch again. Thanks.

In regards to your first question, the Curt Trailer Hitch # C11510 that fits your 2016 Infiniti QX50 weighs 29 lbs according to the manufacturer.

This hitch - as well as many others - requires the temporary lowering of your exhaust to install but it should in not rattle on your muffler. The only reason I can think of why this may have happened is if the hitch bolts were loose for some reason or the muffler was not lifted back up into place like it should have been.

We have not heard anything about rattle with the Curt Trailer Hitch # C11510 and though the installation is a bit more involved due to the muffler being in the center as opposed to off to the side but it is still manageable.
