Question:

We currently have a 2018 Highlander ltd with no crossbars and an older yakima sidewinder tandem rack with the standard round crossbar mounts. What crossbars and mounts with prices would we need to safely combine the rack with the vehicle

I recommend installing a Yakima JetStream roof rack on your 2018 Toyota Highlander because they provide a clean looking installation that allows you to utilize the full 165 lb weight capacity and can be keyed alike with your SideWinder # Y02071.

If you have a naked roof (no rails running from front to back) then you need the 60" JetStream Bars # Y00426 the BaseLine Towers # Y28TR, and the BaseClip # Y06130.

For flush mount rails you would instead need the 50" JetStream Bars # Y00425, the SkyLine Towers # Y53TR, and the Landing Pad 16 # Y00242.

To lock these with the same key as your SideWinder you can either choose 4 lock cores from the attached link that match your current lock core (you will need the Control Key # Y8007835 to install these) or you can use the Yakima Same Key System # Y07206 which comes with 6 lock cores, 2 keys and the control key.
