I took a look at an online version of an owner's manual for a 2016 Chevy Equinox and it states that both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive models can be flat towed with all four wheels on the ground. You will want to take a look at your owner's manual to verify this as well as follow the necessary procedure to flat tow.
