What are the Curt Echo Brake Controller Bluetooth Connection Distance Limits?

Question:

I have a 2019 Thor Windsport 34ft motorhome that I would like to use my brake controller on. Is distance an issue? It works great on my X5. Looking at about 35 feet or so form controller to where phone will be.

My contact at Curt says you will not have any issue with a 35 foot distance and using the Curt Echo Brake Controller # C51180. They have not tested every situation, but they have specifically tested for motorhomes with multiple walls between the controller and phone and have had no issues with distances tested up to 50 feet. They haven't tested beyond that distance at this point because almost all motorhomes and vehicles will be within that distance.

You should know that the Echo controller will still function if the signal is lost for some odd reason. You simply will lose the manual override feature, but the unit will still function based on the settings used at last connection so you will have trailer brakes in proportion to your motorhome braking as usual.
