Question:

For 2019 gmc sierra 3500 I was looking at the Torklift stableload suspension upgrade. I do have the factory leaf springs and the upper overload spring on the truck. will this work and be a good option for me? would you recommend this?

The TorkLift StableLoad Suspension Upgrade # TLA7202 is a great option for your 2019 GMC Sierra 3500 as it is designed for trucks that have factory leaf springs and an upper overload spring.

The StableLoad Suspension Upgrade is going to help reduce the sway that can occur with uneven or heavy loads such as a truck camper and will hep minimize body roll, which anyone with a camper on their truck will tell you can be a real issue.

This upgrade will help enhance '19 Sierra 3500's suspension because they are larger than the standard bump stops on your truck and engage the leaf spring much sooner, stopping your truck from bottoming out or rolling from side-to-side.

The TorkLift StableLoad Suspension Upgrade # TLA7202 will work on single or dual rear wheels, will not require drilling to install, is made in the USA and comes with a lifetime warranty. I have added a photo showing what these look like when installed and have also attached a link to an installation video for you to check out.

Without a load in the truck, how much clearance is there between the spring and Torklift bump stop?

@ToddS There isn't an exact amount I can give you, though not much. Per the instructions of the # TLA7202, "a small gap may remain between the overload spring and the stable load. This is acceptable. It is not necessary for the stable load to be in continuous contact with the overload."

@KyleS I'm looking to have about an unloaded 1" clearance between the bumpstop and the upper overload spring. How tall is the pad and is there a limit of how much I could cut off to acquire the correct non-loaded clearance?

@ToddS The blocks on the TorkLift StableLoad item # TLA7202 are 2-1/2" tall. They're not designed to be cut into and shortened so I do not have any answer for that part of your question.
