License Plate Light and Bracket That can be Removed

Question:
I have a Tacoma with a removable spare tire carrier in the rear, with the license plate mounted on the spare. How can I add a plug in license plate light that is easily removable? Id like to utilize the RV or trailer ports.

Expert Reply:
Each of the license plate lights we carry are going to require splicing with a power wire. The Optronics LED Trailer License Plate Light w/ Bracket # LPL55CB, for example, can be removed if you like by unscrewing it but the light is going to require a ground and the power lead be spliced into your running light wire. The license plate lights we have are all designed for the rear of trailers which is why there is not a plug-in option available.
