Recommended Camera System for Truck and Horse Trailer to Switch Between Two Cameras
Updated 01/26/2019 | Published 01/25/2019 >
Question:
I have an older truck that I use to haul my horse trailer. No backup camera. Have been thinking that it would be neat to have a backup camera for my truck and one for my trailer. Is there a model or is there a way to hook up two backup cameras to one monitor w/ a switch to go from one camera to the other? Or is this going to be a nightmare. Truck is a 1999 f-250 and trailer is an older kingston w/ 7 prong flat plug hookup.

For your 1999 Ford F-250 to have both a truck and trailer camera, I recommend the Rear View Safety Backup Camera System with Trailer Tow Quick Connect Kit - 2 Cameras # RVS-770614-213. This system is designed to be used for truck and trailer use giving you a camera for your truck and one for your trailer so you can constantly see what you need to. To make this observation versus reverse, you simply wire the camera to your running lights instead of the reverse light circuit.
The monitor will allow you to switch between views. I've attached a video review of this product to assist.
