Question:
I wish to carry two bikes between my Ford Excape 2016 and my travel trailer Can you make a recommendation for both an extended tongue and a bike rack that will allow me to carry the bikes between the Edge and the travel trailer.

For carrying a bike rack and towing a trailer behind your vehicle there are a few options for you to consider. I'll give you each option and its restrictions.
The first option is using a ball mount like the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount with 2" Receiver for Bike Racks and Cargo Carriers - 7,500 lbs # D210 and a bike rack like the # NEO2 you asked the question from. This will allow you to tow your trailer and use a bike rack without needing an additional ball mount. Using this adapter will decrease your hitch's tongue weight rating by 50%.
The next option is to use an extender with a dual hitch like the # D-192 which can then be paired with a bike rack and a ball mount of your choosing. This will give you more ball mount options, but will also restrict your towing capacity to 3,500 lbs and will reduce your hitch tongue weight capacity by 50%.
An option that doesn't restrict your hitch capacity is to use the Stromberg Carlson Bike Bunk Trailer-Mounted Bike Rack Carrier for A-Frame Trailers - 2"-100 lbs # CC-275 which mounts to your travel trailer frame. This rack is limited to 100 lbs capacity for your 2 bikes and your bike rack. You could still use the NEO2 #B01748 which weighs 15 pounds or another carrier like the Thule Camber # TH9058. This carrier weighs 28 pounds so you would still have capacity for your 2 bikes totally 70 pounds or less. The combination of the # CC-275 and the # TH9058 is my favorite option for you because I like this carrier best for your Edge .
A final option is the Jack-It 2 Bike Rack for A-Frame Trailers # LC429756 which mounts at the jack of your travel trailer. This will maximize your space but will only fit jacks with up to 2-1/4 inch outer tube diameter and having 22-1/2 inches clearance.
