Function of Curt Echo Brake Controller When Used on Vehicle With Factory Integrated Brake Controller

Question:
My truck has a factory installed integrated brake controller. Does the wireless Echo interact with what is installed or does it cancel out the factory controller in favor of the wireless Echo?

The Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 can be used on a truck that has the factory integrated brake controller. The Curt Echo will cancel out the factory controller and will take on the trailer braking functions when installed. It will not interact with the factory controller but rather will take over the braking functions.
