No Interior Lights on a 2019 Legend Manufacturing 7X27 Inline Snowmobile Trailer

Question:

Hi. Have brand new trailer 2019 7x27 snowmobile trailer. Lights worked when at dealer . Drove 79mi home , lights worked in driveway. 1 week later backed trailer 200ft in backyard to another spot and turned lights on and no interior lights ?!? Have running lights , marker , brake and plate , but no interior lights ? Why and where do I look? Under warranty but a long drive to dealer .. I can fix but what happened?

The first thing I would check is that the bulbs did not blow out for some reason. This can be done by popping off the lens cover and inspecting the filament. The interior lights are generally ran to an auxiliary battery on the trailer or directly from the 12 volt power on the vehicle's 7-way. If they are ran to an auxiliary battery then make sure the battery has a sufficient charge. If they are not ran to an auxiliary battery then odds are they receive power from the vehicle's 7-way and would only work with the tow vehicle attached and on your 2018 Ford F-150, the tow/haul mode must also be activated. There could also be a wire shorted out but that is rather unlikely on a brand new trailer.

I might also contact the dealer to see if they have heard of this issue before.
