Recommended Transmission Cooler for 2019 Honda Pilot

Question:

Hello experts. I'm all set up for towing my light utility trailer on my new 19 Honda Pilot trailer hitch wiring etc but now looking for a transmission cooler. Looks like the manual recommends one so I want to be sure I'm good on all fronts. Can you make a recommendation.

For your brand new 2019 Honda Pilot I highly recommend the Derale Series 8000 Transmission Cooler # D13503. This plate-fin style cooler features 3/4 inch turbulator plates that will allow for more efficient cooling to help prolong the life of your transmission and improve the Pilot's overall performance while towing. We actually installed this particular cooler on the 2017 model Pilot and it worked great (see attached photo and video). The unit measures 11 inches wide, 8-3/4 inches tall, and 7/8 inches deep.

I did also take a look at the online owner's manual for your 2019 Honda Pilot and saw where a cooler is recommended for towing and that one will actually increase the vehicle's base towing capacity.
