A trailer hitch won't keep the hands free liftgate on your 2019 Chrysler Pacifica from working but it may be a little more difficult for the sensors to pick up the movement from your foot due to the extra material that is blocking it. If you check out the picture that I attached you can see the places that we have found work best with a trailer hitch installed if you use a forward and back kicking motion as opposed to swiping left to right.

If you haven't already decided on a trailer hitch then I recommend the etrailer trailer hitch # e98903. This 2" trailer hitch is a Class III trailer hitch and will allow you to carry many more accessories than a trailer hitch with a lower class rating.
