The absolute best tow bar that is offered for your 2016 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk is the Demco Dominator Tow Bar part # DM9511008. The reason for this is because it is mostly made of aluminum which means it is lightweight (only 30 lbs), has self-supporting arms that will not fall to the ground when unhooked, and has a unique hitching procedure that does not require you to step over the bars once you have made the final connection. It also has the same self-aligning and non-binding design as its competitors.

In order to attach this towbar to your Cherokee you are also going to need a set of compatible base plates such as the Demco Tabless Base Plate Kit part # DM9519308 which has removable tabs that will provide a clean look while not in tow. They are also a custom fit so very minimal alterations are required.
