Can Multiple Devices be Connected to the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller 51180

Question:
Before I get this unit can someone else down load the app to there phone to operate the brake controller when I have my phone and not there. I have a iPhone 4 is this new enough

Yes, the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 can be used with multiple devices. However, only one device can have the application running on their phone while in range. In regards to compatibility, it will not work with a iPhone 4 as the IOS 8.0 software which is required for the Curt Echo is not available for this version. The oldest iPhone that can be used with the Curt Echo is a iPhone 4s. In order to check what you have now you will 1) locate and open the settings app, 2) tap general, and 3) tap about.
