Question:
10inch electric brake has 10.5inch drumless than 11inch drum. Is it possible to install 10inch electric brake on 12 inch wheel? It looks like ok. 12inch wheel of My tow dolly has flange. I want to add 10inch electric brake. What do you think? Thank you.

Expert Reply:
The largest diameter drum that can fit behind a 12 inch trailer wheel is a hub/drum designed to fit a 7 inch diameter brake assembly like the # 8-257-5UC3. That said the different size hub/drums all fit different size spindles. So you have to first determine what spindle you have and then fit the correct hub to it. It looks like you do have a brake flange like you mentioned so that's a really good sign.
I attached a help article that covers the process of adding brakes to a trailer for you to check out as well as a picture that shows the dimensions of your spindle that I would need to fit a hub to it.
