Thule Criterium 598 Will this carrier handle smaller childrens bikes in the 14-18inch range?

The Thule Criterium 598 you asked about has been discontinued, but if you already have it the wheel tray will slide to accommodate the smaller wheel base and the arm will need to secure the top frame rail for stability.
If you don't already have that rack, the Swagman Upright Roof Bike Carrier # S64720 will work in a similar way.
