Question:
I need to replace the cable controlled black and gray valves on my rv again. Im looking at upgrading to electric valves, but dont have clearance above to install them. the existing valve flange is cemented directly into the tanks. Can I replace the flange seals, remove the valve body, and replace the bolts in the flange, effectively sealing the 2 flange bodies together? Will this make a water tight seal?

The Valterra EZ Valve Double Electric Waste Valve # E85-8 is designed to connect to two horizontal 3-inch waste pipes to combine them for dumping through the central tube. From your photo I cannot tell if that is your setup.
On this part the two bolt-on valve bodies can be unbolted, rotated to another orientation and then bolted back together. For installations that require it this can give you the needed clearance for the electric motor/handle assemblies. You do need to use ABS solvent adhesive # A05-0303 for installation.
If you can send additional photos to show your two waste valves we may be able to tell more about the fit of this item.
