I have a vintage camper, how can I tell the age?

Expert Reply:
You may be able to determine the age of your camper by locating its VIN. Typically the 10th digit of a trailer VIN represents the model year. For example in the attached image the number 7 in the 10th position indicates a manufacture date of 2007.
With that being said VINs were not standardized until around 1982 so if your vintage trailer was manufactured before then there's a chance that its VIN doesn't use this format.
If the manufacturer is still around you can also contact them with your VIN and they should be able to provide you with this information.
