Question:

I have a 2016 Mercedes GLE 400 with the factory hitch and 7 way connector. Would the Curt Wireless Brake Controller work well with my SUV?

The Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 2 Axles # C51180 will work well for your 2016 Mercedes GLE 400 with factory 7-way. We just had a training on this product and did a little extra research on them because they are so new. They work well with the app and it is very easy to use once paired. The nicest part is the ease of installation as you will simply plug it into your factory 7-way and then pair it to your smart device.

The app it utilizes is available on iOS and Android stores as a free download. The necessary pin number for pairing is located on the inside of the spring loaded cover, so I do recommend writing that down or capturing a photo for your phone if that is how you keep track of things and removing that sticker so no one can take and use your controller. I recommend storing it in your glove box or console when not in use.
