Does Fuse Need to be Removed When Not Towing a 2018 Jeep Cherokee

Mopar wiring harness was installed by Jeep , but the service tech told us that the fuse MUST be taken out every time the car is not being towed. This sounds like a huge inconvenience.

I do have a solution for you but since we don't carry or install Mopar parts I wouldn't be able to tell you if the service tech you spoke with knew what they were talking about or not. Typically a fuse is pulled to keep the battery from draining. I am not sure why a fuse would need to be removed when your 2018 Jeep Cherokee is not being towed though.
If your fuse does need to be removed each time you are done towing your Jeep then I recommend installing a few bypass switch like the Blue Ox # BX88272 or the Roadmaster # RM76511. After you install these you simply need to flip a switch to disconnect your fuse.
